If you just stepped into my blog, you must be asking:
Okay, I've gone to the wrong blog.
Okay, I'm seeing the wrong things.
Nope. You're at beyondthathorizon,
With a great extreme makeover.
I'm Timothy, yo.
Why this blogskin?
Cos' it's abit Sitong, Abit Gemma and lmao
It's actually not anything.
I chose this just because I liked the heading, the colors are gay and I just want people to come to my blog and laugh.
I like to talk in International game forums and didnt ever realise that my netherlands and USA friends actually visit my blog.
So before the emo posts and gemma-leaving-timothy-emoing posts come,
I'll revamp my usual weirdo posts into my reviews on stuffs, especially on gaming.
I've been spending my post-exam period on nothing but having fun and gaming and sporting.
From basketball in the gym to basketball as KG in the Celtics Arena,
From spraying water in the loo to shooting down wacky maniacs in Doom 3
I think I have something to do now.
I mean today, I'll start out with NBA Live 08, which I have on my PC.
I will review 2k9 later too :)
I don't have any personal screenshots at the moment but it's really a nice game.
This is the first time I have even played a real software-based basketball game,
unlike those 'Basketball Slam in Miniclip' or even 'Fantasy Draft in NBA'.
It is a new experience.
With a touch of a button, a random dunk or lay-up is executed, preferably decided by the stat of the player.
For example, Kobe's dunk could be a windmill, Lebron's could be a jackknife facial while Shaq's could be a 2-handed powerslam. Then Chris Paul could lay-up with near limitless strength and jason kidd's no-look and fancy lay-ups are eye-pleasers.
Then, there are also many realistic touches to the game, such as injuries, the excellent commentating, the numerous game modes and my ultimate fav: the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest.
What I must thank EA Sports for is that NBA Live 08 has this 'Signature Move' function and 'Hotspots' in the game. For Signature Moves, Kobe could pull off an almost 100% shoulder fadeaway while T-mac can do a 360 pivot over a full double/triple team. Hotspots combine EA's extensive research over players' shooting/scoring range with the gameplay to form one feature of the game which really rocks. This means that for each player, he has a distinct scoring range and area in the court which he is most and least proficient in. For instance, Centres and Power Forwards usually are better within the 3-point area whilst SFs and Guards are usually better at the perimeter.
Fouls are realistic, though I must say the Vertical Leaps and Shot block graphics can be made more lifelike. KG's shot blocks are nice though. One nice thing to note: I could pull off a Pierce top 10 play with a nice 3-point fake, draw contact and quick release jumpshot from the perimeter again to create a 4-point play.
Overall, graphics are good~
Gameplay is fresh (though I heard the non-PC based 09 is much better)
Realisim can be better
One last note:
Try to play on a weekly basis. If you get yourself familiar with the game too fast, it's going to get a biiiiit boring. Moreover, online play is very tedious and they do not have servers dedicated for it unlike on the xbox360 console which can use xboxLIVE as a server host. So, you'll have to use IP which may not work all the time and may have some problems.
My vote: Good :)
I'll check out nba 2k9 first before I make any comparisons.
See you guys tomorrow.

Hey there,
What do you do when you emo? When you fail? When you get ditched (roflmao)?
1) Indulge in the Virtual World (Game addiction)
2) Indulge in Sports
3) Indulge in Food
4) Indulge in your own imagination and fantasy (Pan's Labyrinth)
5) Indulge in Love (There are many types)
6) Indulge in peace and tranquility
7) Indulge in vacation
8) Indulge in MSN
9) Indulge in Drama serials
10) Indulge in anything other than I said over here
Well, if you chose 1, you are a gamer; 2, you are a sportsperson; 3, you need a workout - seriously; 4, you should not let yourself go crazy for nothing; 5, I advice you that this is not the best way out; 6, you are a solo kia; 7, you must be an aspiring globetrotter; 8, welcome to the world of communication and group convos; 9, you're wasting too much electricity; 10, I seriously don't know what in the world you are and what you can do.
I'm a mix of a few.
Well, I won't bother to tell you.
Few days left to streaming.
EOY results still okay.
Have fun, guys.
Although I don't think these few days will bring much of a promise or much hope. D:

Grow up.
This is the world of reality. No one wins no everything, no one loses nothing.
We are all (...) up.
I mean, I bet there was some match-fixing but I really don't care anymore.
It's all part of our effort to make things better for the last time.
I hope everyone knows that.
I know that everyone knows that.Another day has come and gone away. It's a few more weeks before Gemma disbands.
I can't possibly say that I'll fag everyone who says 'Finally' or 'At last' or even 'have a physical retreat from your urban life' or anything else but I can't possibly deny that there will always be people like that, and they do bond; but nothing really changes their heart for a fact.
I will miss gemma.
And I really dunno when I'll find the time to type a long post about it.
Interclass was okay la.
Started off really well.
I BET THERE WAS MATCH-FIXING.
Met 2B in q-finals.
Guess the score.
Work harder nest year man.
Went to cc to play bball.
Something happened.
But I still think we're all friends cos guys don't cry over such things
And guys don't hold grudges over such clauses.
We're still going to play bball.
That one thing that won't change.
Went to eat Mac with the guys at Tiong.
Hang out for 15 min then go home. -.-
Wc is sleeping now
Sitong is in dota
Fabian tutoring his brother or sth
Geo is dunno wItFUw.
I mean, 2 years have passed with gemma.
I'm now better in relationships.
I have lost approx. 20kg and for height I dun wanna say.
I never knew I could talk to ppl on msn for more than 5 hrs.
I never knew I could communicate well with so many people.
Yet, till now;
I still can't say some things to people in Gemma
I still don't dare to look into the eyes (for more than 5 seconds) of some ppl in Gemma
I haven't bought a b'day present for anyone in Gemma.
Wasted times and days past just like that.
And you really wonder,
if that 5 seconds, that wish, that held back words,
Could have made everything change.
